• Question: when is the next ice age going to be

      Probably not for a long time, as there are tens or even hundred of thousands of years between proper ice ages. The planet is constantly undergoing smaller climate changes though, and this had been affected even more by human effects (what is often called global warming). Some scientists have suggested a mini ice age could happen a lot sooner, but most don’t think that is likely.

      Climate change in general is something that humans will have to get used to in the next few decades though!

      As Sam said, ice ages are quite rare: I think there are only 4 or 5 ice ages documented that occurred on earth. Each ice age can last millions of years, with severe effects for life on the planet.
      I believe we are technically still in an ice age (or just emerging from the last one). Nicki will know the details better than me.
