      We’re using ultraviolet (UV) light from LEDs. UV light is invisible to humans, but is just a higher energy version of visible light. UV light causes DNA damage in the bacteria (and your skin if you don’t wear suncream!), making it unable to replicate itself. If a bacteria cannot replicate, it cannot infect.
      UV LEDs are an emerging technology which allow us to generate UV light from a very small and low power source.
      We’re looking to make the most out of these tiny UV sources in order to make the cheapest possible device for water treatment
