• Question: Do you like cows?

      They are pretty interesting animals I suppose, with multiple compartments in their stomachs to help digest plants. And of course they give out a lot of methane (from both ends) which might contribute to global warming!

      They can be a little dangerous though, especially if you walk dogs near them when they are protecting calfs.. you don’t want to be charged by a herd of cows weighing tons each.

      They make milk and beef can be very tasty. But they also produce methane (as Sam has mentioned), so having too many is not a good idea.

      There is interesting research going on to create new grass varieties that give cows less “gas” (like methane) when eaten. 🙂
