      No. 🙂

I liked science, but I didn’t consider doing it as a career. After school, I had to decide on a career and since I liked science in school, I gave it a go. And hey presto, here I am.

I guess it is normal to know what you don’t want to do, but have little idea about what you want to do. We’ve said it many times now: Do what you like to do. Do you like writing? Maybe journalism is for you. You like maths? Become a mathematician. The most important thing is to follow your passion. I’m passionate about science (now) and that’s why I do it.
I hope that helps you. 🙂

Kind of. I liked science in general, and considered lots of related careers such as medicine and forensics. I even applied to a few universities for Medicine, but then changed my mind again and went for biochemistry. I’m glad I made that choice now, I think research suits me far better than trying to become a doctor 🙂
