      By using the power of the mighty internet (i.e. typing superstition eclipse in my search engine) I got this website with apparent myths regarding eclipses.

      Korean folklore suggests that solar eclipses happen because mythical dogs are trying to steal the Sun.

      I actually read about some of these the other day in a BBC news article, there are a surprising number of them! One weird one that lots of people apparently believe in is that pregnant women should stay indoors during an eclipse.. I don’t think there is any real risk though (although everyone should protect their eyes and not look straight at the sun obviously 🙂 )

      I’d say the most common one is that the world is going to end, which is sort of understandable if you’re not expecting it and the world suddenly goes dark for no reason.

      Weirdly, there are a lot of people who don’t see snow for the first time until they’re teenagers, and many of them think that the sky is falling!
